4 Sessions June 19 – August 11, 2017
My Time Sumer Camp is designed for campers entering grades K-6 to take control of their summer and spend their time developing new skills, meeting new friends, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Each session serves as both an introduction and extension of training in performing and visual arts, and recreational sports programming. Each day is an opportunity for campers to build or refine skills necessary for stage performance and athletic skill development.
Our arts component kicks off the first half of our day from 9:00AM to 12:00PM and offers campers a chance to explore Music (Vocal & Instrumental), Theatre, Visual Art, and Dance taught by some of New York City’s finest teaching artists and performers. This portion of our program will not only teach our young aspiring performers professional skills but help them to develop self-confidence and promote collaboration. Campers will culminate each session with a 1 hour performance completely produced by them for family and friends. Special workshops and lecture demonstrations from NYC dance companies, troupes, musicians, and artists highlight each session.
Our recreational sports component takes over our afternoons at camp and offers campers from beginner to intermediate skill levels group classes in sports such as baseball, basketball, soccer, and more!
Arts programming is continuously offered throughout the day for our artistic campers who would like to keep the creative juices flowing.
Campers are grouped by grade levels in groups of 20 and accompanied at all times by some of the camp worlds finest camp professionals assigned to each group. Each week campers will experience one or more off-site day trips and swimming twice per week. (NYC Department of Education lunch option is provided) See “A Day at a Glance” for sample daily schedule.
