Originally from Los Angeles, California Christopher found his passion for camp at the age of 8 years old when he attended summer theatre camp at the Pasadena Armory Center. It was that experience that changed his life and inspired him to pursue a career in the performing arts. Christopher later went on to dance for Disney as a parade performer in Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. In 2009 he moved to New York City to continue pursuing a career in dance and worked on national and international tours with such companies as New York Theatre Ballet, Rod Rodgers Dance Company, New York Dance Theater, and the World Choral Festival.
Over the years Mr. Chris while pursuing his dreams always made time to get back to camp. He has worked in camps in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York City, and California climbing the ranks and continuing the great work of camp staff all over the world as a Counselor, Resident Advisor, Teaching Artist, Assistant Camp Director and most recently the Director of ARTScape Summer Camp at the Harlem School of the Arts for 3 years. Mr. Chris is a member of the American Camp Association and consults for the organization as a trainer and provides expertise and professional consulting to summer camps looking to develop and enhance their program. In his first year launching My Time Summer Camp he hopes to inspire others to shape the lives of young people by providing new and innovative camp experiences.
